Well, we’re still here. The weather’s getting warmer and I can’t be entirely sure, but it looks like the world survived another day.
Unless this is some kind of dream, in which case I demand to add some lucidity into it.
I’d like a little more control. A lot more control.
Because now is decidedly off the rails.
I didn’t sleep well and it’s no wonder why, the way things are going, those what ifs really get you, especially at 3 am.
All those people who complained about politics being boring, I bet you wish you were bored now. Every day being a cliffhanger of a series you don’t know if it’s renewed or canceled is not a sustainable way to live.
And the fact that republicans could end it at any time, could draw the line, could say “enough is enough” but don’t, well that’s a lesson we need to really pay attention to. Because it’s ALL of them.
Yes, some with no actual power have spoken out. That makes no difference. What we need are people with the power to end this global nightmare to take the steps to do so. They are obligated under the document to which they swore an oath, and yet for people who claim to be so moral, their word seems to be worth nothing.
I feel like I’m rambling and I probably am, my brain is simply not fully online today, and it may not get there. I’m OK with that.
What I’m not OK with is the constant, whining threat against existence itself. It’s untenable.
