Still have that work going on outside so I don’t have the blinds open, which means it could be any possible kind of day out there.
Pleasant, according to my weather app. So that would be nice to see. Alas.
It is one of those writing days where my brain is a blank as the face of a republican tasked with mustering some empathy. We can stand here forever but it’s never going to show up.
It feels like it happens more frequently lately, my mind so packed to the rafters with all that’s going on, it’s difficult to get something interesting, something cohesive, something worthwhile out intact.
Often it rips with the pulling from the middle of the pile; or it crumbles from the weight at the bottom.
These days are not clearheaded days.
On Friday I accidentally utilized the AI feature for SEO title and summary; it looks like people, as a whole, liked it about as much as I did, which was not at all. It felt similar to when Spongebob was “normal;” it stripped all the flavor and personality out of it completely.
I wonder if that’s where we’re headed. I’m definitely turning that off, it can do the image alt text, but the rest has to be me. If it’s not me, you might as well ask AI to tell you about facing a blank post on a Monday morning with far too much on your mind.
The whole point of this place, I think, is that I am human. And you, wherever you find yourself, whatever part of the world, are also human.
Unless you’re a bot and in that case I, for one, welcome our robot overlords, WINK. I don’t welcome you training yourself on my content, though, as I retain all rights to my work. I’ve never consented to that and I never will consent to that.
But back to the people.
The whole point of this thing is, for this moment in time, we can connect through the words that happen to hit in the right way. Because they, themselves, are distinctly human.
And we are nothing if not overwhelmed.
Anyway, that’s it for me on this Monday, I hope you have a marvelous day.
