It’s back to sunny, at least somewhat, and this is going to be brief because I got new glasses and I have not adjusted.

Distance is OK but the computer is a little harder to do comfortably. Hopefully they’re fine but it’s difficult to tell the first few days. And I’m trying to not get a migraine.

It’s weird how many things in life you have to adjust to, over and over and over again.

And then they become like they were always that way.

Or so you hope, I guess. Some things you never get used to.

Like this awful timeline. I mean seriously.

Anyway, it’s been a wordy week, so I guess I used up all my allotment! I’m sitting here without many opinions on anything, which, I’m sure you’ll agree, is a weird position for me to be in.

Over on Spoutible we were talking about things we’re doing to keep going through these times, and I’ve been working on my sewing. I didn’t like how my newest thing turned out, it was supposed to be a small crossbody bag (AI thinks it’s a makeup pouch, so be it) but I had a lot of issues. It has a zip pocket and a slip pocket inside. Here it is:

Blue floral fabric pouch with two zippered compartments

And maybe you see it already, but when I finished, besides not liking it, I…noticed something. And it cracked me up.

Do you see it too?

So I decided to lean into it and made a modification:

Floral blue fabric pouch with zipper and large cream, red, and orange flowers. There are two buttons in the flowers above the zipper, making them look like eyes.

I think it’s hilarious now, a little unintentional monster bag. Or makeup pouch. Or little thing I’ll never use but learned a lot while making.

Like…some florals really need careful consideration because of flower placement.

Or…sometimes monsters will befriend you even when you least expect it.

Anyway, that’s it for me on this Friday, less brief than I thought. I hope you have a wonderful day and a truly terrific weekend, whatever you’re adjusting to, however you’re coping.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
