Very gray today, and though it looks like it should rain any second, no rain is in the forecast, at least until tomorrow.
We’ll see.
It’s a deep sigh kind of morning, which isn’t the best way to start out the week, but I guess that’s the way it goes these days.
So many sighs, so few solutions.
Now that’s invigorating for a Monday!
Fun times.
I’m having one of my favorite kinds of days, one where I need someone else to do something so that I can get on with what I need to do. Not a fan, but there is nothing I can do about it.
I’ve got to wait.
We have firmly landed in an era of much of what we do being dependent on what other people do. Other people firmly beyond our control.
Ahem.
Voting.
We have to budget for and anticipate the fallout, as their failure to act can upset an entire chain of events.
Ahem.
Voting.
I wish I had a good suggestion. There are some people you can’t trust, period. Some people you know will make anything a problem. Some people who cannot see beyond their own noses.
Ahem.
Voting.
But this is the way of the world these days. It would be awesome if we could push through, if we could depend on other people to do what they’re supposed to do, whether it’s their actual jobs or whether they should live like it is.
If it was never other people who held us back, delayed us, caused us stress or anxiety. If we were the only people who could make that happen or not happen.
But that’s not our world.
Dependability and reliability are very underrated traits.
Ahem.
Voting.
Anyway, I will move as forward as I can, as this is not an obstacle I can dance around, and will try not to let the roadblock affect everything. Easier said than done, I’m sure.
I’m very disappointingly human, after all.
Have a great Monday, and may all your roadblocks vanish quickly.
