I’m sitting down earlier to write today than I did yesterday, and yet it feels later to me. It’s sunny, though, again, we have an air quality advisory, so another day that looks lovely but shouldn’t be enjoyed.

Sigh.

Is that progress from “ugh?”

Who knows.

Honestly, this week has been a grind. It started with my eye–which is healing well but still annoying–and it really hasn’t stopped. Miniscule things, metaphorical pebbles in shoes, sometimes literal ones even though I’m inside.

Small but aggressive.

There’s no reasonable explanation outside of someone or something is out to get me. It couldn’t possibly be impersonal, one of those sticky floor bits of life.

Nope.

Has to be a conspiracy.

I was browsing Father’s Day listings on Amazon, and a bunch of them have donald’s face on them and then statements written in his voice about the dad in question. And all it tells me is that Amazon assumes all dads are fascists.

Ew.

I haven’t seen any other political figure, by the way. Only him.

And I’ve just cut out a line or two I had here that I decided were too snappy. Not snappy in the great read kind of way, but snappy in the bad mood one, and you’re spending your time here, hanging out with me, so that doesn’t feel right.

I told you. Not having a great week.

I’ve moved on from irritated to fully grouchy.

I guess “ugh” to “sigh” is not an improvement.

I found some stuff for my dad (though not in that list), made him something, and I think I’m in good shape for that, it’s funny how it can sneak up on you suddenly. Those holidays are all like that, they’re miles away until they aren’t.

That’s true of any deadline, I suppose.

Anyway, I’m going to wrap up the week before I say something to match my mood, which I already did but undid, but still. I’m going to find whatever it is that has it in for me, and give it what for. Or ask it what gives. Or something.

Get that sticky off the floor.

I hope you are ending a lovely week, that you have a great Friday and your ideal weekend.
