It’s gray and I think some kind of weather is coming. Not sure, they just changed “afternoon showers” to “chance of showers” like they never said it with certainty in the first place.
I guess that applies everywhere now.
Primary results were not necessarily all we hoped, which is, itself, annoying, and I have a bunch of tasks to do today that are, themselves, annoying so I have decided to declare today a Day of Unfiltered Annoyance.
How annoying.
So you may find this post annoying which would be both appropriate and like an inception of annoyance and that is absolutely fine with me.
Not even annoying.
I’ve said this before and I feel like I need to say it today whether or not anyone wants to hear it and that’s fine too. But Gov. Pritzker was not my choice in his primary.
In fact, he wasn’t even really on my radar.
And he’s the best governor of my lifetime.
I’m not saying anyone is Gov. Pritzker because I think he’s a very rare kind of guy, but the place where we find ourselves transcends ideal picks.
I’m sorry if that’s not what you want to hear right now either.
Do I wish things were entirely different?
Every minute of every single day for more than a year now, and that was after four years of the same, four years, when it finally, finally ended I thought were gone for good.
No, our fellow humans cannot be trusted, not even with looking out for their own well-being, and that might be the most annoying thing of all.
I’m not trying to silver-lining anything. I am stuck in it is what it is mode, and it sure seems like sewage up to our necks. I only want the levels not to rise because people seem absolutely determined not to drain them.
I don’t know why either.
All I can say is they’re annoying.
