I just realized I have no idea what kind of day it is out there, as I am sitting in front of closed curtains. Perhaps I should fix that.
Huh. Sunny. Very sunny. And not to too hot, which is great because Many Things will be done today.
But first, I sit down with you all. We write at dawn!
Well, not really, I mean it’s after noon for some of you, still morning for me, but dawn was a long time ago. I liked how it sounded, and that’s fine too.
Yesterday for Father’s Day, I set up a little Taskmaster-type thing for me and my dad to do together, and it was perfect. All day it rained, that thin, gray, endless rain absolutely made for crafts.
We actually haven’t finished, we were making a Rube Goldberg-type chain reaction machine, and we both got tired but want to make it great, at least great for a first attempt at such a thing.
I also made him a mug, which was its own separate challenge. I used the Cricut to cut infusible paper, and it cut some firmly enough to send little letters flying, and some it only scored, and some not at all. So it was a late night with craft blade and an aggressive playlist.
But the organizing continues; I have a huge mountain of things to take to Goodwill, and the thing is I don’t even really know where they came from, given I’ve gone through everything so many times.
And yet there’s more.
I’m wavering on the grammar there. But ease of reading and conversational tone win every time for me.
Anyway, that’s enough chatter for me today, though it’s very nice to catch up over a cup of coffee. It’s been a little one-sided, so feel free to comment, here or at Spoutible, whichever is comfortable. Let’s start Monday off with a little ease.
Have a wonderful day.
