A Bit to Read

Juneteenth only became a federal holiday in 2021, despite the immense historical significance and enormity of the atrocity committed against fellow Americans even after the prior atrocity ended.

But instead of me talking about it, today, I ask you to read about it at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Have a reflective day, and please remember atrocities of the past don’t simply stay in the past because they’re history. We see now how very close to the surface they always are.
