Another round of super heat has arrived, and I’m still draggy today. I don’t know if I’m not getting enough sleep or if the weather and the constant air conditioning are getting to me.
Could be either.
I have spent too much time on people speculating on the aliveness of mitch mcconnell, but I feel like if he were good and truly gone, the sun would shine a little brighter.
Wait, maybe that’s what the heat wave is.
I generally see the republicans in Congress as soulless gremlins from the depths of hell, but I wonder if even they are now pondering what kind of demented demon wagon they’ve hitched themselves to. Even Ron Johnson was musing aloud about the health of mcconnell.
Maybe they didn’t want to live in russia after all, no matter the value of their SCOTUS-approved preemptive “thank yous.”
Oh yes, I’m extra cynical today with a side of arrghh.
I think it’s important to remember we are not here through happenstance, but through very deliberate choices and planning. Republicans have worked decades to get here.
This is the “vast rightwing conspiracy” former Sec. Clinton talked about.
Right here, right now, fully executed. These aren’t rogue republicans; any hint of moderation was all cover for this.
This is their bed, in which they all luxuriate.
Until they, suddenly, are not people but pawns in the consolidation of power, mere ideas that can be kept “alive” or not depending on their usefulness.
That’s really something for those gremlins in Congress to think about. Not that they’d listen to me, but they probably should.
They could end this any day. And I think they’d rather have their bombastic red face moments, ineffectual yet dramatic, than be the subject of an inconvenient death.
Not a one of them isn’t replaceable. They, like so many others, have fallen into the trap of forgetting that.
Anyway, that’s it for me on this Tuesday. I hope you have a great day and think about whether the people you call friends deserve to be so.
