It’s another day of thick smoke, though we’re supposed to get rain in a little while. It was thunderstorms, but no more; I’m not sure showers will clear what’s in the air.

This is the way life goes.

Apparently mostly now, though.

And tomorrow again it will be steaming hot, possibly with thunderstorms and strong winds, and possibly still this cloud of smoke. They don’t really know how long it’s going to hang in the air.

We don’t know how long a lot of things are going to hang in the air.

Oddly, I’ve come into the end of the week with not a whole lot to say about a whole lot of things, because the things I want to say are too depressing.

And you can depress yourself, you don’t need me for that.

My only thought for today is this: let’s go back to the small things, the life things, the things we can enjoy in the here and now.

We can.

We are allowed.

Largely because we don’t need anyone’s permission. Decorate an area of your home exactly as you want. Start a craft or finish one. Binge a show, episode after episode.

Read a book until you can’t hold it upright anymore.

Whatever it is, do it. We still have today, and we can’t fight for tomorrow if we have nothing left to fight with.

And that’s it for me this week, have an amazing day and a recharging weekend.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
