I can’t tell you for sure what the day looks like, I haven’t opened the blinds because I don’t want to risk the glare, though my head is definitely better.

Don’t want to tempt the odds though.

Yesterday, we lost Tim Curry, and not to push superstitions but if that is the way the trend is going, I really hope we’re done for now.

But it did make me think about how the terrible people just keep going and going and going somehow, as though malice is a life force.

What a messed-up universe this would be if that were true.

I hope it’s not true.

I am finding it difficult to believe that a week ago I was on the way home, it feels like yesterday. It was an incredible trip, but it’s taken a long while to recover, I guess, if you count the migraine.

And since the trigger was likely on the road, I guess I’d have to.

But I’m muddling through, both the headache and the reentry into a world that is not as nice and friendly and easy as the vacation one.

What’s so weird to me is we, as humans and only one of all these species on the planet, could choose vacation mode as a default. None of what we see, what we are, is the only thing that could be. None of it.

We are the products of generations upon generations of choices.

Warnings heeded, warnings ignored; danger avoided, danger welcomed.

Somewhere, within all of it, greed became the biggest, most profound choice of all.

What does that mean in the big scheme of things? I don’t know, I’m just a person with a retreating migraine rambling on the internet.

But I do know we could all do with a little more friendliness, a little more kindness.

A little more hope that tomorrow does not have to look like today.

Anyway, that’s it for me on this Thursday, I hope your day is lovely.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
