It’s colder again today, with very strong blustery winds. Rattling the windows kind of wind. November has truly arrived.
We’re supposed to get six inches of snow on Saturday, but luckily ice season is not ICE season so whatever keeps the thugs away.
It’s doing something out right now, I just realized, in fine gusts. Could be snow, could be rain, could be sleet. The weather app remains silent on this issue.
We got the last two pantry doors up yesterday, they actually went faster than I would have expected, our system finally clicking into place much like the hinges were supposed to do. We have the two final doors to take advantage of our knowledge gain, but I don’t think they’ll be here until next week, maybe Saturday.
Looking at it this morning, I think we’ll need to paint the kitchen. I may add some other touches. We also realized we have to have handles on the wooden doors, particularly on the pantry, so those are in the works.
It’s possible the priciest part may be the painting. I COULD do it myself, but being perfectly honest, I don’t want to. And I don’t think my dad wants me to.
I just asked him. He looked at me quizzically and then said “why?”
So it’s on its way to being somewhere cozy to work, and that’s really all it’s about, right?
Since it’s a “wisdom” post, I guess my tiny nugget is this: even if you can’t or don’t do it all at once, it still counts as change.
And that is it for me today, I am not sure if I will be be posting tomorrow, probably not but you never know, so if Thanksgiving is tomorrow for you, I hope you have the very perfect day, whatever that means for you, even if it doesn’t look like anyone else’s day.
Have a great Wednesday.
