It was raining earlier, and it will likely be raining again later, if the weather is to be believed.

You never know.

Yesterday was an errand-filled kind of a day, we took a ton of stuff for donation, and there were cars ahead of us and cars behind us. Everyone felt impatient and busy busy busy, reluctant to wait their turn with the bins even though the cars ahead of them wouldn’t be moving until their stuff was offloaded.

I’m getting better at letting things go, maybe it was having to let so much go at once that did it. It’s scary but freeing.

It makes room for something new.

I definitely needed something new.

We all need something new here and there. Sometimes we choose it; sometimes life chooses it for us.

A friend of mine is on a vast journey of newness, everything strange and unfamiliar, and she is not the type for strange and unfamiliar. She is a person, who, from the outside, looks like waves couldn’t budge, who observes, who exudes a calm competence.

On the inside, even for her, it is another story all together, but that is the truth of life. I’m not sure there’s anyone who knows, truly knows, what they’re doing, and by the time people get to an age to know, truly know, what they’re doing, it seems our society has decided they’re used up and not worth keeping around.

But she is clearing each hurdle as it comes, even the ones no one warned her would be showing up. And even if she stumbled–she’s not the type to really allow herself a stumble–but even if she stumbled, that would also be OK.

We are all trying here.

Even the people who look like they are the most collected, coolest people in the world.

We are all trying here.

And it feels like we have lost room in this world for trying.

Anyway, that’s it for me on this Tuesday, it’s always interesting for me to emerge from my writing haze and see where we ended up. Have a great day.
