There’s yet still work going on, plus other work so I am sitting down between the drilling and the hammering.
The drilling is definitely worse, though.
I’ve already had today’s coffee allotment, so there’s no help coming in that department, and three seconds of looking at the news has me shaking my head enough to make myself dizzy.
I think what I find most amusing about republicans–and by amusing I mean why do they have to be such terrible people–is when faced with something like articles of impeachment against the alleged secretary of defense brought by a member of their own party, they don’t defend on the merits.
They run away.
We should be able to objectively all agree that Ole Heggy (why isn’t everyone calling him that?!) is uniquely unsuited and unqualified for the post that he holds. So much so that his MOMMY had to call around and tell people he’s a good boy.
I mean he is all of their spoken nightmares* about affirmative action and DEI all rolled into one quaking ball of white rageful incompetence.
*Spoken nightmares because what they say is they think unqualified people will get jobs, but clearly they don’t have a problem with that. What they really fear is competent and qualified people getting jobs because who will hire the Ole Heggys then?
Only Moldy Oranges, that’s who.
Yes I realize that last one is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY longer than his name and I don’t subscribe to this his name shall not be spoken nonsense, but frankly, in this fully caffeinated state, I think it’s funnier.
Back to the point, as if we ever left it.
They don’t even try to pretend that anything they support is fair, or good, or, in this case, even legal. Despite their endless yammering about the Constitution, they don’t believe in it.
They just assume no one else has read it. And John Roberts spends his twilight years endlessly proving them right.
If the answer is to scurry like a far more noble creature when the light is shone, then you know there’s nothing to defend.
Meanwhile, the alleged speaker continues to treat his job like an optional part-time gig.
Which for him, maybe it is. But we probably have a right to know what he does for full-time work. Thus far it seems to be protecting the apparently illegal acts of this administration, but what do I know.
I’m just a person who has had all her coffee for the day.
