It is sunny today, though rain is promised some time in the future. Not until Wednesday, it looks like.
So we’ll see about that.
Last week, I didn’t post on Friday because my dad was in the hospital. He’s home now, he had a problem with his leg and foot but he is healing, which is good. But there was no way for me to write on Friday.
No doubt you get it.
Life keeps on welling up, specifically when you think you have a handle on everything. In fact that feels like its favorite moment to hit you with something not great and not expected.
Sigh.
He’s doing OK, and I am also doing OK, I suppose, though no doubt I could do better with a little less stress.
Or a lot less stress.
It is something, isn’t it, when a regular life thing shows up in all this chaos. Everything feels more extreme because everything is more extreme. We have the baseline of what is happening here and now, which is already higher tension than normal.
What a world.
What a thing to be a person.
Back when I did the ponderings, I thought about what it might feel like to be anything else. I’m sure all species have their own stressors.
But do they worry?
Nobody knows but them.
We are all tightly wound right now, without much give left. Every single turn is a little bit more so.
I couldn’t tell you what the answer is. I seem to say that a lot these days, full of questions more concrete than rhetorical and yet with about as many answers expected.
All I know is right now, we have to take things day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute even sometimes.
“Be water, my friend,” someone reminded me, quoting Bruce Lee.
So water I shall try to be.
And I hope you can do the same.
Have a great Monday and I hope your week is off to a wonderful start.
