It’s cloudy today, no matter what the weather says, and we’re under a flood watch, even though there’s no rain predicted.
Water keeps flowing, even after you don’t see it anymore.
Today my head is filled with many, many things. The results in Virginia; the areas in our state prone to rising rivers; the next sewing project, which will be inserted into the middle of my current sewing project because I am waiting for exactly the right kind of glue.
So many kinds of glue.
Largely the sewing project, though.
Which I’ve changed three times since starting writing. At least in my head. I accidentally ordered two nearly-identical bundles of fat quarters, which means I can scale this one up.
I’m still only using them, I haven’t graduated to yards of fabric yet. Maybe soon, who knows, but I need more storage space.
Ah, the reality of hobbies. Space to store, space to display, place to put away all the tools and parts. And I’ve definitely picked up some hobbies recently that use up a ton of space.
See how easy it is? We started with Virginia and ended up in organizing.
Do I love it that we have to play the game they’re playing?
Obviously I don’t, but right now it’s their ball and their rules, and their strategy so far has been we’ll never lower ourselves to their level.
Suddenly there are cries about fairness from people who told us to stop crying because life isn’t fair.
Major dishers.
Terrible takers, at least when it comes to their own medicine.
Expert takers at everything else.
The thing is, though, actual democracy is worth saving. It’s never been a pretty road to get there, and if we can do it through what is essentially tactical admin, then off we go.
Anyway, that’s it for me this Wednesday, I hope you have a great day filled with a majority of thoughts that keep you occupied in a good way.
