Another day with some storms, and it’s also one of those where appointments and errands are going to add up to a road trip to nowhere.
But we before we get there, or anywhere, really, thank you so much, Gail for the coffee to come! Not quite there yet, but I so appreciate your making sure there’s a cup ready when I am. You’re the best, really. Thank you.
The worst part of all of this is I think the culprit was one of my favorite restaurants, and I mean for decades. They sent a bad baked potato, but I figured that was an oversight and the rest of the food would be fine because it’s always fine.
Well…it wasn’t.
Yay.
Just one of the many things crumbling away to nothing. I wouldn’t trust it again, and I’m not sure I’d want to, it’s seems like the quality degraded. We noticed some changes, some corners cut, but after this, I think we’re done.
Alas.
One look at all the food recalls and it’s clear how all standards have crashed through the floor. People complain about regulations, act as though companies will do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.
They don’t.
They watch the bottom line, always. There are some exceptions, but it doesn’t look like it in food production.
And apparently some restaurants have followed suit. I’m sure soaring prices don’t help, but this is definitely not an acceptable way to deal with them.
I’m not sure what the future holds for us, if things continue this way. We have to get control of the government back, that’s a basic because if this is where we are after not a whole lot of time, the road ahead looks bleak and full of food poisoning.
Anyway, that’s it for me on this Tuesday. At least I’m on the mend, and I hope whatever ails you will soon be in the rearview mirror.
