It’s a sunny day, not bad temperature-wise but I am utterly frustrated.

Fun.

You know how there are some things that are supposed to work? Like, say, your printer?

Well, this one decides every so often to just…not work. Like nope, not going to do it, and I’ll force you to run a utility that isn’t going to fix it either. Instead you can go round and round and then I’ll start working randomly with no rhyme or reason so you can’t figure it out next time.

Like I said, fun. It’s very unhappy.

Well so am I.

These little frustrations are magnified by the unending friction of right now. In more “normal” times, there were some breaks in it, it wasn’t a constant, endless flood.

These days it’s a raging river of sandpaper.

Add to it a small thing like a printer not printing when you hit print and it feels out of proportion. Because it’s not only the printer.

All the calming techniques in the world aren’t going to work when it’s not calming you want but a functional printer. Or whatever your printer may be.

Right now the printer is symbolic. Except for me. For me it’s literal. Completely literal.

And I want to throttle it. I’m not sure how you throttle a printer but I’d be willing to figure it out.

Wait that scene from Office Space just popped into my head. I guess that’s about how it’s done.

So if you too have a printer, literal or metaphorical, I hope that it straightens itself out, and if it doesn’t have the basic decency to do that, you can have a workaround that works.

As for me, I’m off to do battle. Wish me luck.

And have a great Tuesday.

Buy me a cup of coffee!
