Today is a little bit backwards, I had errands that needed doing before I could write. It coincided with a water shutoff in my bathroom, so I guess that all worked out for the best.

They’re done and I’m done and here we are.

The day doesn’t always unfold in the order you expect it to.

It was lovely out, though, sunshiny, warm, but I forgot how much ruder the drivers seem to be in the suburbs. In the city, we know the dance, we know the steps, we know the timing. If you need to move over, people let you; we may be one of the few places where the zip method works.

In the suburbs, though.

People will hang in just to make sure you can’t move over. Like their lives are so devoid of joy and control, they take it where they can find it, and traffic is the place.

I don’t know.

I think it’s a greater lesson, that traffic moves better when everyone works together. We are meant to work together.

That is how we evolved.

But somehow greed and lust for power evolved along with those traits. I don’t know how or where humans picked them up. And not all of us did, clearly.

We’re the ones who let people in in traffic.

Anyway, it’s only a quick one today, enough to dash in to say hello and to wish you a wonderful Tuesday.

Have a great day.
