It’s a rainy Wednesday, that steady, miserable kind of rain. Funny I was just saying how it doesn’t seem to last these days.

But here we are.

The weather itself is melancholy, and I’m feeling it too, as September fades away into October. There is something about this part of the year, the cycle heading into its final leg.

Maybe we should simply accept a gray day here and there. They’re going to arrive, one day or another, sometimes with the weather warning in advance and sometimes with no warning at all.

Some days you simply get out of bed and see only the clouds, wet streets, the puddles that whoosh with every car.

We can’t stop them from coming.

Not much we can do to change them when they show up, either, because some things, many things are so much bigger than we are.

That damp chill will make its appearance, it cannot be deterred.

But.

We can ride it out. We can wait for the break in the clouds or better yet, turn the gray into something outside that makes the inside cozy.

We can understand that today may be like this, all morning, all afternoon, all evening, but eventually those clouds are going to blow over.

And the sun will shine again.

Anyway, that’s it for me on this Wednesday, I hope you are having a much sunnier day, wherever you may be.
