It’s THURSDAY! Thanksgiving Thursday here in the US, and while the photo could be on theme depending on your imagination, your story doesn’t have to be. Or if you aren’t in the US, your perception of the holiday could be a jumping off point!
I tried to find themeier pics, but did not enjoy the general lack of diversity and the diverse ones didn’t really tell much of a story beyond “this is a diverse group of people I gathered together for a photo shoot.”
So anyway, onward. Using the image above as a prompt, write a ten word story.
EXACTLY ten words.

Rob thought London would be safe from aliens in November
It’s THURSDAY and that means it’s time for our #ThursdayTen! And today it felt like an effort to do a prompt, and but then more of an effort to find one from the past posts (Monday’s post covers my current feelings about archives), so here we are!!
Using the image above as a prompt, write a ten word story.
Today’s prompt is courtesy of an exchange between Jenny and Sarah on Spoutible, and I always give credit where credit is due, so thank you, ladies!
Jenny thought it might be a #ThursdayTen and so…WHY NOT? REPRISE THE KRAKEN!
Given Syndey Powell’s (pictured above) recently announced sweetheart of a plea deal, let’s celebrate by making up some stories! Stories of exactly ten words, to be specific!
Using the image above as a prompt, write a ten word story. EXACTLY ten words.
I think we all have more than ten words in us about this particular architect of the big lie, but sorry, gotta stick to ten.
Doesn’t have to be completely realistic or factual, almost any genre will do (it’s Spoutible, keep it clean).
Ready?
Here’s mine:
Dreaming of calamari, she never imagined she would be it.
It’s THURSDAY! And that means it’s time for our #ThursdayTen! But you probably knew that.
Maybe.
Also my coffee should be ready but I don’t hear it so I’m going to check on that first and then get back to this post. You probably won’t notice a thing, besides these sentences.
OK that’s done, there were a lot of issues, not the least of which was not starting it. Back to our Thursday Ten.
Using the image above as a prompt, write a ten word story. It can be of ANY GENRE (keep it clean, please!).
EXACTLY ten words.
Easy enough we didn’t need the build up, right?
We’ll see.
