Mondays have a way of showing up, one way or another. And here we are, another one.
I think they feel harder because of inertia, the effort of not moving that much to getting up to at least a light trot. But it’s OK.
We can do it.
It’s a gray day today, not sure if we’re supposed to get rain, the clouds seem indifferent. The trees are in their full fall glory, reds and yellows set off among faded greens, the last show of color before the winter comes.
Winter. Again. Can you believe it?
I may try to stick to a single cup of coffee today, but you and I both know, it’s really not up to me.
It’s miles of editing ahead of me, and I’ll have to decide on NaNoWriMo. Still very much on the fence. How’s that for balance?
Hello Friday! And with Friday it’s time to talk about how we’re doing on our various goals.
So I’ve been editing, not as much or as quickly as I should, but it’s happening, and that’s something. I do love editing on a tablet, it’s remarkable how close it is to using paper, but I can actually read my notes later.
That’s a bonus.
Fitness has been five days, five workouts, and I liked this week, maybe because it was mostly strength and somehow it feels like less work. Though it’s pretty challenging.
It’s cloudy but glare-y out today, I’m not really sure how that works. I’m under-caffeinated, but yesterday had some caffeine side-effects so I think I’m going to have to moderate today.
Moderation is the worst.
I just solved a complex putting-away problem though. I got some lovely serving bowls from Costco, but realized I had nowhere to store them. But with a little bit of rearranging magic, boom, suddenly there’s space.
Things had to get slightly separated, though; some of my super-fancy dollar store wine glasses were too tall for the shelf I wanted them on. But needs must, so they say.
Given that that’s my most interesting tidbit for you this morning, I think I’m not what you’d call off to a roaring start.
We’ll see what we can do about that. Have a great Tuesday.
Is it just me or is Monday getting sneaky and jumping back into the rotation more often than its fair share? There seem to be a lot of Mondays.
So many Mondays.
You know what that means. I’m having more coffee. I mean how is one measly (and by “measly” I mean flagon of) coffee going to get me through an entire Monday?
Exactly, hypothetical reader. It isn’t.
So do I finish the post first? Or make the next cup first?
I think we both know the answer to that one.
And it’s brewing. I bet you didn’t even miss me.
It’s a bright, sunny day, though it’s probably chilly. Yesterday for the Chicago Marathon, I couldn’t stay out long, it was colder than it’s been for a long time. And it took me forever to warm back up.
Better ready myself. This is only the beginning.
It will be a week of editing, so I’ve sharpened my metaphorical pencils. Have a great Monday, whichever Monday you’re on.
