So. #AccountaClub. It’s a good thing “mood” isn’t one of my goals, because I would be failing miserably right now. My current mood is crawl back under the covers and make the world go away, but so far, that hasn’t gotten any blog posts written.
Maybe next time.
Anyway, my week. I’ve got something in mind I’d like to do for NaNoWriMo next month, but in order to move on to it, I have to finish one of my not-finished first drafts. I’ll have to put the fingers to the keyboard to make that happen, so we’ll see if that works. I’ve been going over that project, so that I can remember what happens and tie it up.
Fitness-wise, I’m on a roll, another complete week of live workouts! This program is really working for me. And this morning was yoga, which they call “mobility” but it’s yoga. That was awesome.
And that was my week. How was yours?

I guess my week can be summed up by the fact I’m only just getting to join you for #accoutaclub now! The week has been a slight – not without bits good points, but definitely the sort of week where accomplishments come with the price of something else not getting done. The good news is that Kyanite Press are publishing one of my short stories (some minor changes required so that I don’t inadvertently infringe copyright -doh). It’s the sort of week that I had to check the calendar, but yes, I finished editing a short story thay’s going into an anthology. And I managed to meet the deadline for the #FlashFiction prompt Debs and I posted. Not the story I intended to write, and on the fringes of the prompt, I think, but I got there. Day job writing went pretty well too. But it’s been stressful – I envy you your routine, your exercise programme.

That’s fantastic, it sounds like it’s going so well! Very impressed with your progress!
I know things have been crazy for you… but congrats on the story! AND the anthology! All very excellent news!

Thanks! It’s sort of all moving in the right direction – I just wish that I could build some solid routines.

My “it’s going great” week ended up without much in the way of writing getting done which is disappointing. I’m aware of having far too many things on plates which I’m leaving on the shelf and not even attempting to spin. But they – and all my mother-related chores – are producing a kind of mental white-noise which is preventing me from sitting down and writing. Time for a bit more of the self-coaching to get things in order.
Great job on continuing the unbroken run on your workout! 🙂 And big congrats to David on his writing wins!

Debs, trust me, I get it. Sometimes it’s just so hard to focus.
If deadlines work for you, try setting a timer. Just 10 minutes to focus on something on one of those plates. It’s arbitrary, but I find it really works. And once you get a start, you can adjust the length of time.

Finished that book! It’s a horrendous mess, but I have time to prep for Nano. If you join, let me know if you want a buddy! It’s my first Nano, and I’m quite excited. (That might not be a good thing, I realize.) https://doesntspeakklingon.blogspot.com/2018/10/maintaining-balance-writing-and-writing.html

I think being excited is a great thing. And you’ve trained for it. Seriously. You’ve managed your word count and hit your goals.
That’s SO AMAZING YOU FINISHED THE BOOK!!!
